Nainital is a beautiful hill station endowed with beautiful landscape located in Uttarakhand. It is located at an altitude of 1,938 meters above sea level. Once upon a time, it used be a popular summer retreat of the British. It was also called by the name of City of Lakes as it is surrounded all over from the lakes. Snow View Trek is located at a height of 2270 meters above sea level and can be reached by the ropeway or the ponies available at Mallital. Tiffin Top or Dorothy's Seat is a terraced hill top on Ayarpatta hill, which is a 4 km hike from the town centre and gives a nice view of the beautiful hill side. You can enjoy the surroundings of Tiffin Top with a hot maggi and soup and cherish the beautiful memories created. One can also visit Bhimtal, which is the largest lake in the district of Nainital.
The Mall road, Bara Bazaar and Tibetan Market are the main shopping centres. Nainital is very popular for the iety of different beautiful candles available. Do not miss to buy candles and cane sticks from Bara Bazaar. The other traditional buys include scarves, shawls, woodcrafts, cardigans and so on.
