Nainital zoo is at the height of 2084 meters. It is in the state Uttarakhand. It is spread over a space of 3422 square kilometers. The zoo is located near a pear-shaped lake and is surrounded by mountains.
Due to the height and weather, many migratory birds can be found here during all the seasons. The weather is known as subtropical and the zoo lies in the outer regions of the Himalayan ranges in the Tarai-Bhabar region. There are different ieties of trees found here like oak, sal, deciduous trees, grasslands, etc.
The Nainital zoo association is one of the oldest associations. The divisions have forests of pine and rhododendron. The forests here keep life support to many flora and fauna. This place has so much importance not only for the forest but also because this place has a scientific and ecological importance.
