The Naga Heritage Village is the most popular tourist attraction in the state of Nagaland. It is also known as the Kisama Heritage Village. Famous for the annual Hornbill Festival, the village is a hub of Naga culture and heritage.
The Hornbill Festival is celebrated every year from 1st to 10th December. The doors of the village are opened to tourists during this time. The Festival is organized by the Government of Nagaland in order to promote its rich cultural heritage. It is named after the Indian hornbill, a large and colorful bird of the forest. The festivities include colorful dances, sports, food fairs, games and art displays.
