About Kal Bhairav temple

A famous temple committed to the Shakti of the mom Goddess namely, Patal Bhairav Temple has a thrilling legend behind it. As in line with Hindu mythology, a cruel and egocentric demon, Bhairav Nath chased a younger girl named Vaishno Devi, the reincarnation of Mother Goddess. In order to escape, the Devi shot an arrow in the floor from wherein water rushed out and took safe haven in a cave.

However, Devi had to assume the form of Mahakali to kill Bhairav after he discovered her. Just before dying, Bhairav begged for pardon and turned into granted Moksha at the side of a boon in which every one of the devotees after the darshan of the Mother Goddess on the Holy cave must go to the close by temple of Bhairav Nath in order to fulfill their pilgrimage.
