The walled city of Hansi once had five gates of entry – Delhi Gate (East), Hisar Gate (West), Gosain Gate (North-west), Barsi Gate(South) and Umra Gate (South west). Out of the five gates only Barsi gate survives Over 30 meters in height, the Barsi gate presents a beautiful example of Sultanate architecture.. It was built by Sultan Alaud-din Khilji in 1303 AD as per a Persian inscription on the top. It is a pointed arch gate.
Barsi Gate is one of the dearest landmark of my city.
