Asigarh Fort, an old fort in Hansi, is believed to have been constructed by Prithviraj Chauhan, the popular king of the Hindu Chauhan Dynasty. This square shaped fort is spread across an area of around 30 acres and has security posts in all the four corners. The records maintained in Talif-e-Tajkara-e-Hansi, written by Qazi Sharif Husain in 1915, state that around 80 forts across the area were controlled from here.
An underground tunnel was constructed during the period of Firoz Shah Tughlaq to connect the present Hansi to Hisar. The elaborative gates of the fort have figures of Gods and the walls of the fort are decorated with images of Goddesses, birds and animals.
