About Baba Farid Tomb
The tomb of Baba Farid is a popular tourist attraction point in the city. The shrine is made up of white marble having two gateways, facing east and north, called Nuri Darwaza and Bahishti Darwaza respectively. The Bahishti Darwaza is made of silver and decorated with floral designs.
It is a miraculous place. A large number of people visit the tomb to seek the blessings of the great Sufi saint. The complex also houses a big mosque and a small area for females. The tomb shines bright during nights andopens throughout the year for visitors. Mehfil-e-Sama is organised every Thursday evening outside the tomb where Qawwals from different parts of the country participate and entertain the crowd. This grand evening is attended by hundreds of people.
