About RUSK Chamber Music in Pietarsaari
At the end of November, the RUSK Festival is a festival in Pietarsaari that combines high-class chamber music and various arts. RUSK is a melting pot where creativity can flow in exotic contexts during the darkest and busiest times of the year. The artistic directors of the festival are Christoffer Sundqvist and Sebastian Fagerlund. At the end of November, the RUSK Festival is an annual music festival in Pietarsaari that combines high-class chamber music and various arts. At the heart of the collision is the Schauman Hall in the city center, but the events are also spreading to the surrounding city milieu.
The festival was founded in 2013 by the clarinetist Christoffer Sundqvist and composer Sebastian Fagerlund, the artistic directors of the festival. During the week, concerts will be held, where Finnish and international musicians will present classics and rarities of chamber music and new music. The festival invites an international composer guest every year as a focus composer. Sebastian Fagerlund and Daniel Bjarnason have been invited as composers.
