Situated on the banks of River Shipra, the Kaliadeh Temple offers an island like sight. It conjures up the ancient beauty of Ujjain.rover flowing on both sides of the temple make it a glorious landscape. The man made channels and tanks with water gurgling through them provide a mesmerizing view.
The central dome of the palace is a beautiful example of Persian architecture. Two Persian inscriptions were found in the long corridor of the palace and it dates back to the visits of Emperor Akbar and Jahangir. Also known as the Sun temple, the Kaliadeh temple was broken down at the time of Pindaris and was restored to its former glory by Madhav Rak Scindia in 1920. One can visit this temple on a the religious trip to Ujjain and can also enjoy the scenic location that it is in.
