About Marble Rocks

Marble rock is something which amazes anyone with that natural architecture. The area is situated along the Narmada River in central India near the city of Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh. The river has carved the soft marble, creating a beautiful gorge of about km in length. It is one of the most popular destination spot.

The shear limestone rocks, rising perpendicularly out pf the placid waters of Narmada River, creates a stunning spectacle giving its name as the marble rocks. The place is best explored on boats. The boat services are operated throughout the year except the monsoon period and on the full moon days there are a special night rides to treat this place. The most exciting treat to the place is when the boatman retails a comic story of the Marble Rocks with much creative style from the reference of Bollywood blockbusters.

It is believed that there are seven structures representing the three monkeys of Gandhi ji or the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara. Over the centuries forces of nature have curved out the strange structure on the marble cliff. Perhaps it is a must go when visiting Madhya Pradesh.
