Rajiv Gandhi National Park or also known as Nagarhole National Park is situated in the Mysore district of Karnataka. This is basically a reserve for tigers. Part of Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, this park is under UNESCO World Heritage Committee as the world heritage site. So as you can expect, this park has many tigers, the unique Indian Bisons, and elephants too!
It is said that this park was the hunting grounds of the Wodeyar Dynasty. Coming to the Wodeyar Dynasty, this dynasty ruled over Mysore for many years. This park was finally d as a tiger reserve in the year 1999.You can expect many different types of trees such as the Sandalwood, teak, rosewood, cotton tree and even axelwood.
This consist of much of Deciduous forest and occupies the northwestern ghats. You can even find many different types of birds, insects, reptiles, and mammals at this park. This is a fun little place to visit with your family.
