About Skiing and Skating in Kufri

Kurfi is a beautiful hill station situated at an altitude of 2633m above the sea level and 16 km far from Shimla. The place - Kufri is one of the oldest skiing slopes in Himachal Pradesh and an exciting spot for ice skating. It is one of the reputed venues for annual winter sports festival that takes place around February. The festival organized is a major attraction.

Kurfi is a destination in its own right, this is 16 km from Shimla and has been widely recognized as the best slope for skiing and magnificent views. Due to this reason, kurfi attracts a large number of tourists when they come to Shimla. The great Himalayan national park is also present in kurfi. The name kurfi is derived from the word kufer which translates to the pond.

Today this place has developed into an exotic holiday destination. While you are planning your vacation to Shimla, do not forget to catch the glimpse of Himalayan aviary which harbors many mountain birds.

very bad experience, nothing special. traffic like hell. you have to wait 4-5 hours in traffic, road condition is too bad.

good place shimla but experience of ride travel club agent sandeep was very bad. he just took 47000 money from us n provided us 1star hotel his driver name harpreet behavior was very rude he didn't took for a single site scene in shimla.he just took our money n provided worst of the worst service.
