Hat Yai

Hat Yai is the largest city in southern Thailand near the Malaysian border Songkhla Province. Hat yai is also the largest metropolitan area in the south, and the third largest metropolitan area of the country. This city is well known as a travel hub, a medical centre and a shopping centre. You can get around town easily and cheaply by motorcycle taxi and even cabs are relatively cheaper as compared to other tourist-orientated destinations in Thailand. There are many restaurants where you can eat and enjoy the wonderful taste of local cuisines . It is also a good place to buy precious metals and jewelry and is the centre of gold trade for the region. An airport and a large bus station as well as a train station are also available here easily.
