Tilak Ali Musuem

The Tilak Ali Musuem is situated at a distance of 1 km from the Ratnagiri bus stand and 3.5 km from the Ratnadurg Fort. It is located in the Ratnagiri town of Maharashtra. The musuem is of great historical significance. 

One of the top places to visit in Ratnagiri, the Tilak Ali musuem is named after Lokmanya Gangadhar Tilak, a prominent freedom fighter of India. It was supposedly his ancestry home. He was born in the Konkan region and this musuem is dedicated to his life. Tilak's life and sacrifice for India's freedom is well depicted in the musuem. 

The musuem is a classic example of the native Konkan architecture. It preserves the memory of Tilak and his struggle for independence in the form of paintings and pictures. His personal belongings are kept in the musuem.
