The Thai temple in Bodh Gaya is an ancient monastery built in 1956 by the Thailand monarch, on the request of the Indian PM, Jawaharlal Nehru to strengthen the public relations between the two countries.
It is the only Thai temple in India which makes it unique and a must visit. The Thai architecture is worth eying. The sloping and curved rood covered with golden tiles and the exquisite exterior cannot be missed.
There is a gigantic broke statue of Lord Buddha in the temple. The aura inside the sanctum is serene and peaceful and one can feel the tranquility on entering the monastery.
