This is a temple which is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mansa Devi. This temple is located at Haridwar which is in India. This temple is well known as the Bilwa Tirth which is one of the 5 Tirth within Haridwar. Mansa is a form of shakti which is said to be have emerged from the great sage Rishi Kashyap. Being a sister of Vasuki the term Mansa means wish. This “wish” means the gods complete the wishes of their devotees.
Well the Gateway to the Lord has many temples and places. But this is one of the most important and interesting places of all. According to many Hindu legends, this is one of the 4 places wherein the drops of elixirs exist which is said to be from a pitcher, carried by the legendary bird Garuda. The Garuda is said to be the vehicle of Lord Vishnu.
