About Ohr-OKeefe Museum Of Art

The Ohr-O'Keefe Museum Of Art is a non-benefit workmanship historical center situated in Biloxi, Mississippi, devoted to the earthenware production of George E. Ohr, the self-d "Distraught Potter of Biloxi". The exhibition hall is named for clay craftsman George E. Ohr 1857– 1918, and in addition Annette O'Keefe, late spouse of previous Biloxi chairman Jeremiah O'Keefe, Sr., who was instrumental in giving cash and raising assets for the culmination of the gallery grounds. The five-building gallery grounds was outlined by draftsman Frank Gehry to "move" with the antiquated live oak trees on the 4-section of land 1.6-hectare site. Development of historical center structures started in 2004. In August 2005, the exhibition hall was harmed amid Hurricane Katrina, when a gambling club freight ship was washed onto the semi-developed office.
