The Talatal ghar in Assam is the largest of all Ahom mountains, initially built as an army base. It was built by Rajeswara Singha, located near Rang Ghar. It is another specimen of Ahoy architecture.
Talatal Ghar has three storeys underground and four above the ground. While the underground floors have store rooms, stables and servant quarters, the upper floors are for royal family. Built with bricks and varieties of cement, it has an arched door which resembles to Mughal architectural style. A large terrace and temple shaped like an octagon are worth looking at. The ammunition store Khar Ghar cab also be explored.
