In 1929, he distributed a week by week Assamese daily paper. Thengal Bhawan was worked in 1880 by Raibahadur Siva Prasad Barooah. Afterward, he built up his printing press and office at Thengal Bhawan and figured out how to distribute a day by day daily paper, Dainik Batori.
Siva Prasad Barooah was the proprietor and Bagmibar Nilamani Phukan was the manager of this day by day daily paper. This daily paper was distributed from such a place, Thengal Bhawan, where there was no mail station. It was the principal every day daily paper in Assamese and furthermore the primary day by day daily paper in any dialect, distributed from a town in whole India.
