About Samdruptse

The Samdruptse Hill in Namchi, also known as the wish fulfilling Hill is only 5 kms from Namchi. It is situated on height of 2134 meters. The hill has a giant statue of Guru Padmasambhava, the patron saint of Sikkim. The statue is so big that it overlooks the entire city. Studded with gold that glitters when sun rays fall on it, it looks magnificent with the setting of the Kanchenjunga Hills against the blue painted sky.

It is a paradise for photographers and scenic lovers. Around the Samdruptse Hill, there are many attractions like the Shiv Mandir with a huge statue of Lord Shiva. The trekkers can trek to the Tendong Hill and Maenam Hill and also take a detour to the Maenam wildlife sanctuary and to the Tendong biodiversity park.
