About Chaar Dham

A huge pilgrimage and cultural complex in Namchi, the Char Dham complex had been developed by the Sikkim government to promote the religious, eco and village tourism in the state. Also known as the Siddheshwar Dham, this complex has been made out of 56 crore Rs and been alloted 29 hectares if area on the top of Solophok Hill.

The complex is located about 5 kms from the town and one can reach there easily in a pleasant drive, which includes ascending uphill to reach the Solophok Hill.

There is a towering statue of Lord Shiva in a sitting posture, this being the main theme of the complex. The main Shiva temple is on a 108 feet height and the statue of Lord Shiva sits atop. The pilgrims can visit the Badrinath Dham, Rameshwar Dham and the Dharma Dham and perform prayers.
