About Pallikunnu
Pallikunnu is a small town in the district of Kannur. It is famous for housing an ancient temple known as Shree Mookambika Temple.
As the name suggests, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Mookambika, another name for Goddess Durga. She is worshipped in the three forms of Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati. The temple is believed to have been established by an Indian philosopher by the name of Adi Shankaracharya. A large number of devotees visit the shrine during the months of the Navratri Festival.
