Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary in Kalpetta is a must-see for the nature lovers. Within the premises of the sanctuary, there is a temple and a watchtower. The sanctuary is known for the presence of `Edible Nest Swift light.' The nest is believed to be made of solidified saliva and is used to make bird's nest soup.
