About Sulthan Bathery

Sulthan Bathery is a town and municipality in Wayanad district of Kerala, India. Previously known as Sultan's Battery, It is the largest city in Wayanad district. It takes its name from the ancient Bathery Jain Temple.

Sulthan-Bathery is mostly preferred by travellers in Wayanad. Sultan Bathery is the biggest shopping paradise in Wayanad. It includes malls, textiles, home appliances, electronics, computers, electrical, building materials, stationery, agriculture products, forest products like honey, heavy metals, automobiles, hypermarkets. Close by, Wayanad Heritage Museum displays archaeological and tribal artefacts. A famous Jain temple is located at Kidanganad, Sultan Bathery town of Kerala, built in the 13th century which is one of the main Jain shrines in Kerala. Sulthan Bathery Jumaa masjid is the biggest masjid in the town and can hold more than 1000 worshippers.
