Ngadak Monastery, located at a small distance from Namchi town, built during the reign of Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal by Tensung Namgyal exudes with spirituality and grandeur. The monastery is supported by iron railings.
The monastery was built as a palace for Her Highness Pendi Ongmu. After suffering some damages due to an earthquake, a new Gompa is being constructed. It is one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim. The name Ngadak means promise, so every visitor who visit the monastery makes a promise to visit it again. It is a perfect place to seek peace and meditate in the lap of nature.
