About Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan

Gaitor Ki Chhatriyan is the royal cremation area of the Maharajas of Jaipur. For every Maharaja, there is a cenotaph, built in his honor. Gaitore is basically be the mispronounced shape of a Hindi phrase “Gaye ka Thor” which means “resting region of the departed souls”. The best Maharaja whose chhatri isn't always present here is Maharaja Sawai Ishwari Singh. The motive being his funeral passed off outside of the Jai Niwas Gardens at the back of the Chandra Mahal within the City Palace complex. His Chhatri is likewise constructed there.

The maximum famous Chhatri of the place is the Chhatri of Sawai Jai Singh II. It is specially popular for the white marble adorned with peacocks, beautiful carvings, and adorable shapes on it. From 1733, the cremation of each Kachhwaha ruler become accomplished right here. Gaitore accurately pronunciation is ‘Gaye ka Thor’ which means resting area of withdrew souls. Gaitore is a completely unique area with its personal splendor and allure that displays the royal beyond of Jaipur and its royal Maharajas. With its stunning carvings and rich records, this place attracts tourists from all over the World.
