About Hawa Mahal

Jaipur is well known as the city of pink, this city got its name from this monument. A 5 story building, Hawa Mahal is the monument from which many tourists recognize the Jaipur. This architectural wonder is carefully carved showing the rich lives led by the Rajput royals.

This Mahal is located in the heart of the city of Jaipur. This monument resembles a beehive structure and is made with red and pink sand stones. This monument is lined up with white color to make it more vibrant.Coming to its name, this palace got its name Hawa Mahal due to the fact that there is always a soft breeze passing through this monument. So when we translate Hawa means wind, So Hawa Mahal translates to the palace of Winds.This is one of the best places in the entire city of Jaipur and you would surely appreciate it’s architectural beauty.
