Kumbhalgarh Fort is located in the district of Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan. The place is announced to be the one of the five hill forts of Rajasthan which fall under the UNESCO World Heritage. The fort withstands on the foothills of Aravalli Mountain, the oldest mountain range in India. The fort lies in the midst of the forest which is popularly termed as the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary.
The fort shares many historical episodes which allures the tourist to the grandeur of the fort. The fort was built by the then King Rana Kumbha around !5th Century. Moreover, the place offered sheltered to the refugee king of Mewar, King Udai. Significantly the fort marks the birth of Mewar’s great king Maharana Pratap. The fort is a must visit to witness such architectural brilliancy and to acknowledge oneself with such historical ranges.
We have to walk 1.5 km from parking to main gate of fort due to inefficiency of cab driver as he was not able to get a parking near fort entrance and atleast should have suggested good timing to visit the fort but all went wrong
