About Castle of the Dukes of Brittany

Castle of the Dukes of Brittany is an expansive palace situated in the city of Nantes in the Loire-Atlantique département of France; it filled in as the focal point of the recorded region of Brittany until its partition in 1956. It is situated on the correct bank of the Loire, which previously bolstered its trench. It was the habitation of the Dukes of Brittany between the 13th and 16th century, along these lines turning into the Breton living arrangement of the French Monarchy. The palace has been recorded as a landmark historique by the French Ministry of Culture since 1862. Today the mansion houses the Nantes History Museum.

Beginning during the 1990s, the town of Nantes embraced a monstrous program of reclamation and fixes to restore the site to its previous wonder as a token of the historical backdrop of Nantes and Brittany. Following 15 years of works and three years of conclusion to the general population, it was revived on 9 February 2007 and is currently a mainstream vacation destination. The night-lighting draws out the structural unpredictability of the site inside a urban setting. The brightening was planned by Sylvie Sieg and Pierre Negre of the Atelier Lumiere and won the Light Originator Price of the Lumiville Trophy 2007.
