Delhi to Rishikesh (330m) 5-6hrs. Board the morning Shatabdi Express departing New Delhi at 7am. Reach Hardwar at 11:30 am. Transfer to the hotel in Rishikesh, a bustling pilgrim township, a popular meditation centre and the Yoga Capital of the world. After lunch, optional rafting on the Ganga till short of Rishikesh. Evening explore the township and attend the aarti (evening prayers) by the banks of the river Ganga. Overnight Camp Silver Sands.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in morning and set out for a drive from Kathgodam to Pithorgarh. The journey takes about 7 hours and offers spectacular views of Trishul, NandeDevi and Panchachuli mountains. Relax after this long journey, enjoy your dinner and stay overnight in a rest house.

Get ready for the exciting river adventure, set out for a 2 hour drive in morning from Pithorgarh to Jhulaghat, which is a village situated on the border of India and Nepal at a distance of about 36 km from Pithorgarh. Get ready to raft in chilled water of river Kali, you will cover an initiatial stretch of 15 kilometers of class 2+ rapids that passes many stalactite and stalagmite formations After you finish rafting, camp by late afternoon and hike to a nearby village.

Today we will ascend further up in the mountains to the Ruinsara Valley. The pine and fir forests become thinner as you go higher and birch and rhododendrons take their place. Our destination is the Ruinsara Lake, a clear lake laced by lovely flowering rhododendrons. The locals consider it sacred. Straight ahead in the valley, you can see the majestic Kalanag Peak (6387 m) sparkling in the afternoon sun. Overnight in tents by the lake.

The day to kick things up a notch. Get ready to play with class 3 rapids as the river begins to get racy The waters are turbulent here and practice all safety precautions as you continue rafting. Enjoy maneuvering through thick jungles and less-inhabited sections. Camp overnight.

After 3 days of water adventure, allow your body to get the well-deserved rest today Take time to enjoy delicious local food, rest completely or spend some time exploring the scenic, serene surroundings. You can optionally hike in the afternoon and later relax around the campfire. Do as little or as much as you want, this is your day

Dhakwani /– Tali (3180m) 4-5 hrs The trail is steep up to the Kuari Pass (3690m) and it takes about 2-3 hours to get there. Once we are up on the pass, the views are simply breathtaking, a wide panorama of high Himalayas - the Chaukhamba range, Nilkanth (6596m), and Abigamin (7355m) extend to the Tibetan border. In the middle foreground, the main Himalayain chain in the vicinity of the Bhyundar valley & Hemkund includes Nilgiri parbat (6474m), Rataban (6166m). We walk down the beautiful ridge heading towards Auli and camp at the small campsite of Tali in the woods.

Tali /– Auli (3000m) 3-4 hrs and drive to Birahi (1330m) The last day of the trek is very different from the rest of the days. We climb out of the woods into the meadowland with wide views of the high mountains right in front. The walk finishes as Auli before going through the wide rolling meadows of Gorson. It/’s about 3 hours drive from here to the comforts of the hotel in Birahi.

Birahi /– Delhi After an early morning breakfast set out for the long 8 hr drive to reach Hardwar in the evening to board the evening Shatabdi Express leaving at 6:10 pm to be back in Delhi by 10:30 pm. Trip ends !
