About Shatrughna Temple

Shatrughna Temple is an historical temple located at the banks of holy river Ganges near Ram Jhula in Rishikesh. The temple is known as as Aadi Badrinarayan and Sri Shatrughna Temple. This is one of the temples which are committed to Shatrughna. The other temple is at Paymmal in Thrissur district of Kerala. This historic temple is dedicated to Shatrughna, Lord Ram's brother. Shatrughna became the youngest of 4 sons of Dasharatha, the king of Ayodhya. He changed into born to the Sumitra, the third wife of the king.
