Day 01: Guwahati – Shillong (100 Km / 3 Hrs)
Welcome to Guwahati. Meet and be assisted by our representative at the airport/Railway Station & proceed to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East" (100 kms 3 hrs). On arrival at Shillong, check in at your Resort. Evening you can visit the local market.
Day 02: Shillong - Cherapunjee - Shillong
Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Shillong and after breakfast at 07:30 A.M drive to Cherrapunjee (60 kms 1½hrs), which is the wettest place in the world offers roaring waterfalls, limestone caves & adventure activities. Witness the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls & visit the Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the famed Nohsngithiang Falls. The beautiful waterfall - Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. Back to resort. Over Night stay at Shillong.
Day 03: Option-1: Shillong Sight Seeing
After breakfast today visit Don Bosco Monument, Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy boating, Botanical Garden and Lady Hydri Park. Evening you are free for your personal activities.
Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 04: Shillong-Mawlynnong (90KM/3HRS)
After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong/Mawlynnong Village located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred as ‘God’s own garden’ has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 kms from Shillong and is a community based eco-tourism initiative. The community has made collective effort to maintain the ambience of a clean village. The village offers picturesque natural beauty, a trek to the living root bridge at a neighbouring village Riwai. The village also offers a sight of natural balancing rock, a strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock.
Day 05: Mawlynnong Sight Seeing
After breakfast go for Dawki-Jaflong village, 35 km from Mawlynnong. After crossed the bridge over river Dawki that was built during the British colonial times and supports one car at a time. A few metres ahead, the border between India and Bangladesh cuts across the river at Point Zero. And over night stay at Mawlynnong.
Day 06: Mawlynnong-Umiam Lake (2.9HRS /90.4KM)
After breakfast drive to Umiam Lake (90kms/2.9hrs). Umiam Lake or Barapani - is the biggest artificial lake in Meghalaya, a majestic placid lake surrounded by Sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies Overnight stay at boat house.
