About Shaolin Monastery
The Shaolin Monastery, otherwise called the Shaolin Temple, is a Chan Buddhist sanctuary in Dengfeng County, Henan Province, China. Accepted to have been established in the fifth century CE by the Buddhist priest Bodhidharma, Shaolin Temple is the principle sanctuary of the Shaolin school of Buddhism right up 'til today.
