About Phodong Monastery
It was worked in the year 1740, this Buddhist religious community of love houses around 250 priests. Phodong Monastery was worked by Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal, who had a place with the Kargyupa part. The monatery has been modified and remodeled, yet old canvases and paintings installed in the dividers, can at present be found in parts of the building.
This is one of the best place in the city. A yearly celebration called 'Chaam' is praised on the 28th and 29th days of the tenth month of the Tibetan logbook. The Phensang Monastery and Labrang Monastery can likewise be gone to adjacent. Buddhism was presented here by Guru Rinpoche.
