About Monsoon Palace

The Monsoon Palace, additionally known as the Sajjan Garh Palace, is a hilltop palatial house within the town of Udaipur, Rajasthan in India, overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake. It is called Sajjangarh after Maharana Sajjan Singh of the Mewar Dynasty, who it become built for in 1884. The palace gives a breathtaking view of the town's lakes, palaces and surrounding nation-state. It became constructed mainly to watch the monsoon clouds; hence, as it should be, it's miles popularly called Monsoon Palace.

It is stated that the Maharana constructed it at the top of the hill to get a view of his ancestral home, Chittaurgarh. Previously owned through the Mewar royal family, it is now beneath the manage of the Forest Department of the Government of Rajasthan and has recently been opened to the public. The palace offers a lovely view of the sundown. Its builder, Maharana Sajjan Singh, in the beginning planned to make it a five-storey astronomical centre. The plan became cancelled with Maharana Sajjan Singh's premature demise. It turned into then changed into a monsoon palace and searching inn.
