Jawahar Kala Kendra is a multi arts centre positioned in Jaipur in India. It was built by Rajasthan authorities with the reason of keeping Rajasthani arts and crafts. The centre has been made in 8 blocks housing museums, one amphi theatre and the alternative closed auditorium, library, arts show rooms, cafeteria, small hostel and art-studio. It additionally houses two everlasting art galleries and 3 different galleries. And host its very own theatre competition every year.
The centre is an analogue of the authentic metropolis pIan of Jaipur drawn up by the Maharaja, a scholar, mathematician and astronomer, Jai Singh the Second, within the mid-seventeenth century. His town plan, guided by the Shipla Shastras, become based at the historical Vedic madala of nine squares or homes which represent the nine planets. Due to the presence of a hill one of the squares became transposed to the east and two of the squares have been amalgamated to house the palace. The Jawahar Kala Kendra adapts and applies concepts from historic architectural concepts known as the Vastu Vidya.
