About Helipad

The Namchi Helipad is an open space with a large round about. It is about 5 kms from the town of Namchi. Here, helicopter services are offered between Bagdodra and Namchi on Thursdays. From the Helipad, one can see the large statue of Lord Shiva on a hilltop, that is the Char Dham complex.

The Helipad area has turned into a famous tourist spot that people visit to get panoramic views of the snowy Kanchenjunga peaks. One can get views of the hills of Darjeeling and Kal import.
