The plethora of temples in Tamilnadu, built by the Pallava, Chola and Pandya kings, dating back 1500 years provide an insight into the Tamil Nadu history. The Five Rathas are rhe nomenclature of the five temples. Five Rathas refer to five chariots and are named individually after the Panama brothers and Draupadi.
Four of them, namely, Draupadi, Arjun, Bhima and Dharamraj Rathas stand in a single row while the fifth one, that is, the Nakula-Sahadev raha faces the South and stands apart, facing the other four. Numerous sculptures can be found in these Rathas. One can visit the temple to take a peek into history and mythology.
