Bear cave is situated near the Norton's Bungalow, on the way to Shervaroyan temple. Adjoining this bungalow is the Bear's cave, which goes deep into the hill. It is said to be the abode of Lord Murugan.
The bear's cave is a must visit for the adventure craving tourists. It is named as bear's cave because it is located beside a private coffee estate, the area beyond which is known to have housed bears. The area of the cave is about 7 feet below the ground level.
The beliefs tell that it was a hideout way used by Tipu Sultan during wartime. The tourists can squeeze past the boulders and explore the cave.
