About Bara Imambara

The Bara Imambara, additionally known as the massive Imambara or Asafi Imambara is a mosque complicated in Lucknow, India, constructed with the aid of Asaf-ud-Daula, Nawab of Awadh, in 1784. It is also called the Asafi Imambara. Bara means massive, and Imambara is a sacred hall built for the reason of Muslim rituals surrounding Muharram, recognized locally as Azadari, the fundamental festival of mourning for the death of Hussein inside the struggle of Kerbala.
