Stanmore Country Park

Stanmore Country Park is a 30.7 hectare public park, Local Nature Reserve and Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation in Stanmore inside the London Borough of Harrow. It is owned and managed through Harrow London Borough Council. The park was a part of the grounds of an eighteenth-century mansion referred to as Warren House. In 1937 it was obtained by using Middlesex County Council and Harrow Urban District Council as public open area. It become later owned with the aid of the Greater London Council and transferred to the London Borough of Harrow in 1976. The presence of untamed carrier timber and mature hornbeam suggests that part of it's far ancient woodland.

The major plant life in grassland regions are common bent and Yorkshire fog, with tufted hair grass in damp regions. The park has a ious array of wildlife which include Reeve's muntjac and purple fox. There have also been said sighting of European badger, weasel or even wild boar inside the park even though these "sightings" are unconfirmed. Bird life is likewise abundant in the park which includes numerous members of the tit own family, blackbirds, magpies and crows.
