Eskisehir Meerschaum Museum

Eskisehir Meerschaum Museum is a craftsmanship gallery in Odunpazara locale of Eskisehir, Turkey, showing different things handcrafted of sepiolite. Sepiolite or Meerschaum is a delicate white earth mineral, or, in other words to craftsmanship tobacco funnels called Meerschaum channels. The misty and grayish, dark or cream shaded mineral is delicate when removed. Be that as it may, it solidifies on introduction to sun based warmth or when dried in a warm place. The showed things of the historical center were gathered by Eskisehir Governorship amid the International Meerschaum Festival, Meerschaum handiwork rivalries and displays held in Eskisehir since 1998. Around 400 things handcrafted by 60 craftsmans were left to Odunpazara Municipality. The gallery was set up by Odunpazara Municipality inside the Kursunlu Complex at Odunpazara as the world's just in its kind in 2008.
