About Col de Pierre Pertuis

Col de Pierre Pertuis is a mountain pass in the Sonceboz in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It connects the Sombrejos and Tavnnes. The name of the pass comes from Latin: Petra Pertussa, which means broken cliff. Pass Street has been constructed in the second half of the first century. In the 159 centimeters 63 × 38 38 in large inscription north of the road, Marcus Dunius Patterns lists the drawers of Helveti colony Aventimum as the road builder. This inscription honors the emperor and is around 200 AD.

It probably refers to the renovation of the existing road and the expansion and widening of the rocky gate. The pass road is connected to the main road. The nearby road connects Aventikam modern avescans, Salodurum modern solothurn, Gasten Raurica Road to Vientianeo Modern Besancon, Pomanduoduram Modern Mandur-Cambus Road. The pass was first mentioned as a boundary from 1179 to the boundary between the province of Lausanne and Basel. This remained a threshold between powerful bishops until Protestant reform.

The first modern road was built in 1752 by the Abbott of Moutier-Grandval Abbey and Vogt of Arguel. This road added to the cities of Basel and Bile. After the French victory in 1797 and the Treaty of Campo Fedeo, Pass became part of France. Following the defeat of Napoleon and the Congress of Vienna, nearby and adjoining areas were assigned to the Canton of Bern in 1815. Part of the Burn Pass passes became wide in part of Berningen now part of BEL and Cortellari.
