Sonceboz-Sombeval is a municipality in Canton of Berneo Administrative District in Switzerland's Canton of Bern. This French-speaking Bernese is located in Jura. During the early modern period, Sonsbose remained a small halt with only a few houses dependent on the big village of Sonsbola. However, at the beginning of the 18th century, Sonsbose became an important stage for trade over the passage. The development of the Watch Parts industry, which started in 1849, brought the workers to the villages and forced them to expand.
In 1874, the opening of the Bile-Les Converse and the Sonsbauge-Television railway lines and changed the character of the village forever. While Sombeval retained his rural character, there was an explosion of population and industry in Son Bosbose. As the population grew, two pre-independent villages were merged because they had grown physically together. In 1936, Watch Parts Producer Society Industrial Day Sonsbose built a factory in the village. In 1978, floor maker Bienna SA made a factory in the municipality, which strengthened the industrial sector. As of 2005, more than two-thirds of jobs are manufactured in the municipality.
