Spiez is a city and a municipality on the banks of the Thun Lake in Berne's Oberland area of Swiss Canton of Bern. It is a part of the Frutgen-Niedersimental Administrative District. Apart from the Spez City, the Municipality also includes the settlements of Einigen, Hondrich, Faulensee, and Spiezwiler. The official language of Spiez Swiss variety of standard is German, but the main language is the local version of the Almanic Swiss German dialect. Spies make all-day breaks for a relaxing stroll along the outdoor pool and lake-noise swimming cove, a cruise on Lake Thun, or perhaps a beautiful lake.
