The director of the restaurant Kartik Kumar along with chef Sricharan Venkatesh came up with the name ‘Cinnamon’ which they decided to begin with the idea of starting the Indian restaurant in Malaysia. But as they roamed around Kuala Lumpur tasting food in every nook and corner they got nostalgic about with the taste and names of food in the South India. And hence they could not come up with any better name, Nadodi which roughly translates into the Nomads of South India.
Although there are so many Indian restaurants in Malaysia but there is none that specifically focuses on South India cuisines. And the best part is the Nadodi pays special attention to the details and the traditional methods to add the South Indian element to every food they serve. Nadodi collects its products from the local farms and nothing except the best quality regional products are used. Nadodi has already started to get so much love and has been a major stop point for the tourists to taste the food that feels like home.
Every meal is prepared with so much love and served with a hint of pickles, salad, peanuts and lassi. What else do you call the comfort food? This Indian restaurant in Malaysia has got all our heart and is winning the lives for all right reasons.
