Saveni

Saveni is a city within the Botosani county, Moldova, Romania, along with Saveni village residence, and from the villages of Bodeasa, Bozieni, Chiscareni, Petricani and Sat Nou. It has a population of 6,999 inhabitants. The village of Sãveni is certified as a village in a file dated April 11, 1546 of the time of Petru Rares. In 1818, by way of the princely charter of Scarlat Callimachi, the metropolis receives honest proper, with 12 annual awards. Sãvenilor Fair was the center of Basesu Square, and given that 1950 it has been a common raion middle. In 1968 it changed into d a metropolis. Seated at the crossing of a few antique traffic routes - the road from Valea Basesului and the only connecting the Botosani county with the Prut Valley,

Within the county, it has an eastern area and is 35 km far from Botosani, 43 km from Dorohoi, 41 km from Darabani and 25 km from Prut River. It borders with the communes: Drăguşeni to the northwest, Avrămeni to the northeast, Ştiubieni to the west, Ungureni to the southwest and Vlăsineşti to the south and south-east.
