About Ethnographic Museum of Krakow

The gallery is situated in the previous town lobby of the city of Kazimierz, raised in the fifteenth c. in the Gothic style, and extended in the Renaissance style in later hundreds of years.

In City Hall there is a display of Polish people culture, while in the basements of that other sublimely vaulted sixteenth century assembling the supposed Esterka, brief shows are held.

The historical center was built up in 1911, on the activity of Seweryn Udziela, an educator, beginner ethnographer, and gatherer, who needed to protect the memory of the vanishing society culture.

The gallery accumulation, which extended from Seweryn Udziela's own accumulation, at introducing numbers more than 80 thousand displays, with a substantial piece of them dating from the late nineteenth c. also, mid-twentieth c. a greater part of the shows originate from Poland, however, a noteworthy piece of them start from other European nations, fundamentally Slavic ones, and in addition nations past Europe, a large number of the last have been given to the exhibition hall by Polish explorers and specialists.
