Julian Tuwim Monument

Tuwim bench - a bronze landmark by Wojciech Gryniewicz divulged on April 10, 1999, at 104 Piotrkowska Street before the Palace of Juliusz Heinzl in Lodz. The landmark delineates life-measure Julian Tuwim sitting on a seat in a representative that establishes a connection as though the writer was tuning into somebody sitting beside him. The place on the seat alongside Tuwim is free, which enables the watcher to sit down by him and feel the part of the individual conversing with him.

Amid the lead of Krzysztof Jagiello, the smaller than expected of Laweczka was granted as the Mayor's Award for extraordinary accomplishments in the advancement of Lodz.

In 2003, the landmark was chosen in the plebiscite on "Figure of the Year". In 2004, the creator of the landmark Wojciech Gryniewicz got the qualification of the Polish Tourist Organization in the opposition for the "Vacationer Souvenir from the Region" for the smaller than usual Tuwim bench - the image of Lodz. In 2009, Tuwim's bench was named in the opposition for "7 Wonders of Lodz.
