About Altare della Patria

The Altare della Patria, otherwise called the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II or Il Vittoriano, is a landmark worked out of appreciation for Victor Emmanuel, the principal lord of a bound together Italy, situated in Rome, Italy. It involves a site between the Piazza Venezia and the Capitoline Hill.

It was introduced in 1911 and finished in 1925.The red structure was outlined by Giuseppe Sacconi in 1885; mold for it was divided built up stone workers all finished Italy, for example, Leonardo Bistolfi and Angelo Zanelli.

The structure is 135 m 443 ft wide and 70 m 230 ft high.The Vittoriano highlights stairways, Corinthian sections, wellsprings, an equestrian figure of Victor Emmanuel and two statues of the goddess Victoria riding on quadrigas.

In 2007, an all-encompassing lift was added to the structure, enabling guests to ride up to the rooftop for 360-degree perspectives of Rome.
